Our Pakistan Connections

Swansea Print Workshop has a rich history of working with printmakers from Pakistan.

Sameera Khan, originally from Islamabad was Studio Manager for three years and she was the catalyst for a whole range of creative exchanges between our two cultures.

Atif Khan and Aleem dad Khan spent 12 weeks as Artists in Residence at the studio, there were exchange exhibitions, masterclasses, workshops, outreach classes, residencies and visits to Pakistan by a some of our  of our members.

Since then, members Rose Davies and Hannah Lawson have returned to Pakistan for residencies, Atif and Sameera have exhibited at the Oriel Ceri Richards and the Ffwrness Theatre Gallery Llanelli .

This exhibition shows some of the work produced by our visiting artists, members and participants in workshops over the years as a result of these links and demonstrates how enriching this process was for all participants.
